It is a type of waterproofing system for buildings, used on flat or nearly flat roofs to prevent water seepage and transfer from roofs. Rolls are often made of synthetic rubber, thermoplastics, or modified bitumen. These fabrics are often used in commercial applications, although they have recently become increasingly popular in residential applications.
How to Use
First, ensure that the surface to be insulated is smooth (plaster or smooth concrete) and clean. Then, coat it with a light bituminous liquid, which comes with the membrane and is called a primer. Leave the surface for 24 hours so that the bituminous liquid can penetrate the pores of the surface to be insulated and the outer surface can dry. Two layers of insulation are applied and flame-welded, with a vertical seam of 15 cm and a horizontal seam of 10 cm.
